We have chosen to work with ethical brands and manufacturing partners who are eco-friendly in a multitude of ways and who underscore the importance of supporting humane workplaces. “From roots to routes,” our products reflect a higher consciousness and friendlier world.

Bella + Canas

Bella + Canvas is USA strong! They dye and cut more garments in the United States than any other clothing manufacturer–and it’s all done right in Los Angeles. American made is something Bella + Canvas believes in deeply. As one of the biggest clothing manufacturers in America, they provide well over 1,000 jobs right in Los Angeles. They are always pushing the envelope to add more volume and just recently doubled the size of both their cutting and fulfillment facilities, adding even more jobs.

NO SWEATSHOPS/PLATINUM WRAP CERTIFICATION

Doing things the right way has never been up for debate. Bella + Canvas has been manufacturing in the U.S. and internationally in a no-sweat-shop, humane, sustainable way since day one. Their Platinum W.R.A.P. certification is just a small indication of how hard they work to make their sewing and cutting floors pleasant, productive, comfortable places to be.

What Principles Does the WRAP Certification Include?
  • Human resources management
  • Health and safety standards
  • Environmental and eco-friendly practices
  • Legal compliance including import/export, customs compliance and security standards

By using newer, more efficient dye machines, Bella + Canvas uses 7x less water than the average for clothing manufacturers, saving 24 million gallons a week. Any water they do use goes through a filtration system that allows it to be recycled.

They are a green company through and through – taking every opportunity they can to reduce their co2 emissions. If you take a quick tour around the Bella + Canvas headquarters you’ll find they use solar energy to power their sewing and cutting facilities, motion-sensor LED lighting and skylights throughout each building, and electric car charging stations to encourage employees to go green.

The Bella + Canvas manufacturing facilities and LA Headquarters produce almost no landfill because they recycle pretty much everything that can’t be turned into a tee. They have optimized their cutting to reduce plastic use, and the excess fabric is recycled into a number of things like baby bibs or stuffing for upholstery. Let nothing go to waste!
